My first picture, an alarm clock that I see everyday when I wake up. This is something I can always look at and trust because it will always tell me what time it is. The shape of the alarm clock is a small rectangle and the photo is at a tilt to give more value. I increased the light coming from the red in the alarm clock and made the photo more darker. The clock always changes when 60 seconds pass and it is reliable. It was inspiring because I never really use it to set alarms and such, so I figured I would give the clock it's moment of fame. I feel that this was probably one of the better pictures i took with editing. I learned that we have a lot of time, and sometimes it just flies by, like this quarantine. My Second Picture, an Iron Man figurine. I chose this because Iron Man represents heroes, and we need a hero to stop this virus. It is something that I put together just in the nick of time, but I feel that it is pretty motivational because darkness surrounds us, but we are the light, and we are the hope that we need. Color proves a lot in this picture, and everything around the figurine is covered in darkness and people who know they can help and do help provide light for others. This picture relies more on emphasis because it has a deeper meaning then just "Figurine in light around darkness". It inspired me because it sits on my desk in a normally dark corner so I figured I would change that and give it some light. My Final Piece, Hand Sanitizer. I chose this because it represents needs and wants of people, like toilet paper, people don't necessarily need it, but for some reason feel the need to hoard it and take from people less fortunate then themselves. Color plays a big part in this because there is normally a lot of color in this area. I had to change the whole area to a B/W form to make this look like it does. Emphasis is obvious here because everyone needs stuff like this but can't always get it. The thing that inspired me was the fact that some people suffer from not having stuff like this and some people can get as much as they want whenever. I found this piece one of the weirder, but has more emphasis ones. It means more. I learned that some people are less fortunate then others.

This is a picture of my Portrait Project in Progress The Final Product Who did I do a portrait of?
I did a portrait of a family member, my relation to them is that they are my mother and I am her son. What medium did I use? I used a combination of Pencil and Marker, Pencil for the outline, and marker to color everything in. It definitely messed up some aspects of the drawing, but it doesn't look to bad. and the smudges on the shirt are intentional. I thought they would look cool but I stand corrected. Explain your process from start to finish. I found a reference photo of my mom on my phone where she is smiling at the camera with a little bit of an open mouth, I tried to recreate the facial features the best to my ability by sketching the face and hair lines before coloring it in, and I have to say it looked way better before color. What do i find successful and what would I change? I find the facial features successful, I am normally terrible at drawing eyes and noses, but did alright with the eyes here. I think the nose could use a little bit more work and I would change the fact that I used markers instead of anything else. All Warm Ups assigned for the Portrait Project Gesture Warm-up (b/c it won't fit in the gallery) Which warm-up has proven to be the most helpful? The eye. I have always been bad at drawing faces and facial features and for some reason I feel like i did really well on the eye. Most of these were helpful and some were more difficult than others, I look forward to completing the portrait project. What did I find most surprising about facial features? Depending on what size paper you are using, they either need to be really big or really small, and smaller facial features are about 10 times harder to draw because of how many things you have to do. Nunzio Paci has created pictures between the line of life and death. Many of his Oil paintings visualize alert and recumbent animals, with their eyes wide open, intertwined with each other, and includes plants and tall flowers. Paci even has his own website, linked https://www.nunziopaci.it/ Paci normally works in Bologna and is an italian painter. Another artwork of his is of a fox lying in the grass. I was inspired by this art piece specifically because of how nice it looked. there were many vibrant colors and some dark ones and i loved the variety. The oil paintings look so realistic that anyone could think that they were real. Some of the art pieces are colorful and radiating joy but are also showing off dead animals. I overall enjoy them but they do give off a weird sort of vibe.
